The wife wants a new PT so we went looking at them tonight. Looks like a winner here but we have 1 issue with them and NO ONE seems to want to answer this due to "liability" issues. Is there an way to defeat (read disable) the passenger side air bag?? We have 2 little ones and may need to utilize the front seat for one of them from time to time. I know where there is a will there is a way, just want to know if anyone has this info before probing deeper into it myself. Thanks for any info you may have.

There are several companies that sell kits to instal airbag switches, you can find them by doing a net search on "airbags". I no longer have them bookmarked, but they are relatively easy to find.
Another option is to move the passanger seat all the way back and tilt it back some. that should help if the little one is old enough to not need a booster seat. |
