PVO,

Where can we get aftermarket injectors that fit our cruiser?
For example: 20% over factory setting or 10% "over stage 1"

I just got off the phone with my buddy at PVO and he strongly recomends that you change your injectors to the 2004(10 percent more than 03) or larger if you are running a boost controller. The other problem is that if you get the exhaust manifold above 1000 deg. cen. a lot in time it will crack. They had some early development cars do this. Has any one else heard about this??
If I understand this correctly, PVO is saying the '04 Turbo Cruiser will have the upgraded (+10%) injectors as a standard part of the engine due to concerns about the '03 injectors being borderline OR will the '04 be running more boost in stock form, thereby, requiring the upgrade. The latter is understandable; however, the former doesn't sound too good for the long-term reliability of our '03's.

That sucks. Since it is a "problem" is it going to "cost" us to fix it?
How is the 2004 setup different than the Stage 1 kit set up?

Your 2003 inj. w/ 2003 OBD2 computer are fine STOCK. When you start messing around and crankin up the boost then in the long run you might have problems. The 2004 has a different computer OBD3 and a better calibration that requires larger inj. The stage 1 comes with the larger injectors.

2004MY Highlight of changes:
The PT Cruiser is now available with two turbo options:
"PT Turbo" is new - 180 HP @ 5200 rpm, 210 Lb-Ft @ 2800-4000 rpm.
"PT Turbo GT" - 220 HP @ 5100 rpm, 245 Lb-Ft @ 2400-4400 rpm (+5
HP increase vs. 2003.).
Thanks for the clarification.
It'll be interesting how the '04 base Turbo will be detuned, e.g., less boost, timing, and fuel; also, how this detuning will save Chrysler money in mfg. costs. Seems to me the only real savings will be in warranty issues.

Here is a can of worms to open...Will the mere addition of 2004 "stock" injectors void warranty?

Stock parts from Chrysler now, NOT Mopar!!

Are these "stock" injectors the same ones that were going to make our PTs unlawful for highway use?

Things are beginning to smell bad (as time goes by it smells worse).
Two possible answers:

THIS IS BEING DONE PURPOSELY.
A) We really ARE being hung out like yesterdays laundry.

LIFE OCCURS LIKE WAVES OF THE OCEAN WITH NO RHYME OR REASON.
B) No one knows what constitutes a warranty at DC, a lot of running around and bumping into each other, with the words "Woob Woob" being uttered by all.

For those inquisitive minds:
2004 differences in STATED power:

2003 HP 215@5000rpm / 2004 HP 220@5100rpm

2003 LbFt 245@3600rpm / 2004 LbFt 245@2400-4400

More top end HP and more bottom end torque.

KIRBY,
I don't think you have anything to worry about. The inj. I have in my car are STOCK 2004 injectors. I couldn't say if they void the warranty, I am not the dealer you may want to ask them. I am not worring about the warranty with my GT. I don't have a cat. on my car!
PVO/PT,

I live in the land of the endless DEQ check, every other year. I also have a new device that telometrically sends all my vitals to Chrysler in lieu of some of that testing. I HAVE to know those pesky little details. I do want to add the extra HP though... it is like an addictive drug(more power, more power....).
