Well, nothing else Parks there in the garage so the PT seems like the likely culprit.

No actually of the front of a PT where similar fasteners like the one you showed in the 1st post.

It does kind of look like the negative ground post on the front of the car. You know, the one you use when jump starting it.

You mean the positive post? I've seen the one with the red cover, but not a ground post for jumping.

No, he meant the NEGATIVE post next to the hood latch. Chrysler designated the right post (with a sticker) as the Negative post to put the jumper cables when trying to jump the battery.
