Sorry, I hadn't seen the original thread and just found this one.

It appears you have found the 'G' spot for the missinbg bolt, but here are more locations for this exact bolt that you pictured. I do remember at least one other post about the bottom bolt of the three circled in the first pic (outside air temp mounting bolt) coming loose. This is just for future reference for our community here.

These pics are sourced from my RAM/COLD air intake install group.

Nice pictures Jerry, they are similar to the ones I posted but with my RED PT Cruiser.

And this was one that was deleted.

So now that we know where it was, do we know what it was? Was it for a ground or something?

It was not in the picture that Jerry akaw wpptc and myself posted. In fact it was nowhere that any member guessed at:

Here is from page one of this thread.

Next to the starter there is flange on the exhaust, just below the O2 sensor. The bottom bolt on the flange was missing. The stud was the right size so I sinched it up. It seems like an odd place for a mounting stud since I don't see anything in the area that needs mounting. But in any case, the exhaust is secure now.

I want to thank everyone that posted ideas. They were all helpful.

Glad the mystery was solved, I just have one question. Is the starter on the back of the motor, or are you running a 420 Mitsubishi head?

No, I meant starter. At least that's what it looked like. But I admit I didn't look that closely. I just saw the end of a black cylinder and thought starter.
