Default Hello from the Home of Tax-Free Shopping!

Greetings from Delaware, where all the signs at the borders remind visitors that you can shop here with no sales tax.

I recently joined the forum, but have owned my 2005 PT Limited for almost 7 years. I'll post pics when I have a chance to clean and shine her up a bit. I bought the 'NillaCruiser with about 13K on the odometer, and just rolled over 84k. Putting a couple hundred miles on her per week now, compared to previous years when I drove maybe 8k per year. No major mods, more like accessorizing, but here's what I have done so far:

- Mopar chrome exhaust tip
- Rear molded splash guards
- Mopar step pad on the bumper (The step pad masks many scuffs that were on the top of the rear bumper. Besides, I like the "truck-like" look)
- K&N drop-in air filter
- New plugs and wires (forget which wire set I bought)
- Pioneer receiver w/BlueTooth and HD Radio, Pioneer speakers
- Replaced the radiator fan to solve the "A/C Shudder at idle" problem, thanks to the information on this forum

Next up:
- Install the Mopar factory subwoofer (just bought it on eBay - again, thanks to this forum)
- Replace the engine torque struts
- Thinking I should have the tranny flushed
- Will have to think about having the timing belt/water pump changed not too long from now
- Will either need to replace the headlamp assemblies or restore them - she's starting to get "cataracts"

Thanks to all of you forum members who share your knowledge about the PTs. I have loved this car since I bought it and plan to keep her running until the wheels fall off.

@05, welcome to the forums! Sounds like a very nice PT. Looking forward to seeing some photos. I also never heard about the whole "sales tax" thing there. Gee, just turned down a job in Delaware, maybe should have considered it...lol

Thanks for the welcome. Here they get you with the income tax, instead of sales tax. No matter where you live, the government always manages to take their share...one way or another.

I have always thought that "Waynes World" scene was really funny. Enjoyed that. The rest of what you posted: not so much.
