Default I'm a newbie

Hi everyone, I've always loved the look of the PT Cruiser and have finally bit the bullet and bought myself a 2005 PT Cruiser limited edition 2.4 litre automatic.
I'd love to hear about any tips from you all. I live in the UK, just outside London

Here's the pic of your PT. The pic size was too big for the forum so I cut it down a bit. Nice PT! Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum from Lake Wales, FL. You have a very nice looking PT. And the last year of the first generation. You have done well with your choice.

That's a G2, maybe it's a 2006.

Are you sure your PT is an '05? It has the Gen2 style front bumper cover and headlights, and Gen2 style headrests and the larger Gen2 winged hood emblem. I believe your PT may be an '06 or later.

You can use this website to get the Build Sheet for your PT:

https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html

In the left-hand column under YOUR VEHICLE then click on Equipment Listing. On the next page that loads in the white box in the middle of the page enter the VIN for your PT. The Build Sheet will show everything that was put onto your PT when it was built. But it will also show the year. I'm curious to know what the Build Sheet has for the year of your PT.

Also, on the drivers door is the VIN label. On that label on the top line in the middle will be: Date Of MFR. That will also have the month and year that your PT was built.
