Has anybody put P215/60R16 tires on the factory wheels on a 2001 Cruiser? Did you have any interference issues with the front strut towers?
Thanks in advance! [^] |

I was told that the 225/60/16 would not fit by a guy at the Tire Rack when I asked. I told him that I had 16x7" rims and he said that the engine's computer would not function properly due to the up sizing. I have a 5 speed. Would it effect automatics? I want to put the same size on the front and back. I also will not be lowering mine since I need the snow clearance.

Hi ptstripes ... I have had my tires on for over a year now and have had no problems so far. Everything works fine. If you do get the ratio between front and rear too great your ABS brakes will not work. Mine still work so ratio between 205 to 225 is not great enough to cancel ABS Brake system. All I can tell you is what personal experience I have had. Happy Cruisin !!

Sorry for being late on this topic, but it sounds like you have worked it out. Just FYI, I have been running P215/60R16 on my 2001 Taupe LTD for two years and haven't had any problems whatsoever. Looks good and improved the ride!
