Has anyone else thats running the factory five spoke, 17 inch chrome wheels, had a slow leak problem? The tire tech said it's due to corrosion on the inside of the wheel under the tire, around the bead and valve stem. He said these wheels are notorious for this? Looking for others with this issue.

This is VERY common. The answer is often to have the tire guy buff the bead area on the rim and then apply a sealer. I had this done to a couple of my wheels.

Over the years I've had different makes and models of vehicles with alloy wheels develop leaks around the bead. Handy is right. Have the tire shop dismount them and clean up the bead area and you should be good to go
