Default Lower Control Arms Torque

Just installed new front, lower control arms.
Front pivot bolt torque 125 ft-lbs
Rear pivot bolt torque 185 ft-lbs
The maximum I was able to torque was 100 ft-lbs, struggling.
Any ideas on how one might reach the torque specs?
Is it ok to use a steel pipe as an extension to the torque wrench?
Will these bolts stretch and risk breaking?
Any and all ideas welcome!

I used a steel pipe over my ratchet to get to the 185. If you have a buddy around, you could also just try the "4hands on a ratchet" trick.

The rear bolt, especially, is massive, and BEEFY. I wouldn't worry at all about overtorquing it, especially if you're just using hand tools. Please don't take this as my condoning you using an impact and ugga duggaing yourself into trouble, haha. Good luck!

I got a big breaker bar at Harbor Freight. Works great.
I've leaned on it so hard it bends to a point that makes you go, whoa.
